A Westport Salon Worth the Drive from New Bedford

New Bedford is a straight shot west on Route 6. You pass through Dartmouth and then you are in Westport, usually twenty to twenty five minutes door to door depending on how the lights fall.

If you live near the working waterfront or up around the north end, the drive is the same road the whole way. No bridges and no highway merges.

Getting here from New Bedford

Route 6 is the simple version of this trip. Coming out in the morning is easy, and heading back in the late afternoon is the slower half, so build in a few extra minutes if you book late in the day.

Planning the trip

The one thing worth knowing about this drive is that Route 6 slows in Dartmouth, not in Westport. If you leave New Bedford before nine or after ten you skip most of it. Coming from the north end, taking Route 140 down to 6 is often faster than cutting across town even though it looks longer on a map.

Colour built around your upkeep

Most first appointments here are colour. Balayage, highlights, full colour, gloss and toner, all planned backwards from how often you genuinely want to sit in a chair. That is the part that decides the formula, not the photo you bring in.

We also install hand-tied extensions and fit mesh integration for thinning hair. Both start with a consultation because both are measured on your hair, in person.

Extensions and mesh integration always start with a consultation. They are built around your hair, so there is no single price and no single plan that fits everyone. Colour does not need one, though you are welcome to book a consultation first if you would rather talk it through.

Every current price lives on our Service Menu.

Questions we get asked

How long is the drive from New Bedford?

Twenty to twenty five minutes west on Route 6, straight through Dartmouth.

Is it worth coming this far for colour?

Honestly, that depends on what you want. If you are trying to stretch the time between appointments, lived-in colour is the thing that makes the drive pay off. If you want a quick trim, it probably is not.

Which route is fastest from the north end?

Route 140 down to Route 6 usually beats cutting across town, even though the map says otherwise.
