Somerset is on the far side of Fall River from us. The usual route is south through the city and then east on Route 6, which runs about twenty minutes once you are through the bridge traffic.
Coming over the Braga Bridge is the part that decides your timing. Once you are past it the rest is ordinary road, and Westport opens up quickly.

If you are coming from the north end of Somerset near the Taunton River, going around through Swansea and picking up Route 6 west of the city can be calmer than going straight through Fall River.
